project:
Ground floor renovation, Oakville, Ontario.
design objectives: The floor plan of this
Glen Abbey home had become awkward for this family of four and the
original kitchen was outdated and poorly designed from the get go.
The main entrance of the house became congested with hockey equipment
on and clothing during the winter months and the house was plagued
with an abundance of rooms that did not capitalize on the actually
generous size of the house. The renovation of the ground floor of
this house included enlarging the laundry room and incorporating
a vestibule from the garage, opening the dining room to both the
kitchen and the living room, as well as upgrading electrical fixtures,
trim and floor finishes throughout. In addition, the ensuite master
bathroom and main floor powder room were also refitted.
materials: Quarter sawn cherry cabinetry
and matching five panel glass room doors, glass backsplash, anderoba
and ceramic floors. |
