project:
Ground floor refitting, Mississauga
design objectives: The updating of this
forty year old home involved a complete renovation of the kitchen,
powder room and freshening of most of the finishes on the ground
floor. Tiered carpet was removed, and the existing hardwood refinished,
trim and floor tiles were replaced and all the walls were painted
to create a flow through the space as a whole. The kitchen itself
was kept fairly modest with simple but customized white cabinetry
that maximized the amount of light from the east facing garden while
optimizing the available space.
materials: post-catalyzed lacquer on
mdf, solid surfacing counter tops, glass tile back splash, porcelain
tile floors. |
