object: "Bar Code" - 1996. This large CD case had to be vertically oriented in order to accommodate 800 disks in a narrow space. The richness is developed through the many levels of detailing. The hourglass shape of the shelves, their for/aft alignment, the connection of the steel, the dovetail joints, and the contrast of hard and sensuous lines all combine to provide a sense of discovery long after initial viewing.
