object: "Bar Code II" - 2000. This cd shelf was commissioned to compliment its brother, "bar code". It is conceptually the inverse of its predecessor, with the shelves of steel hanging off of a "trunk"of wood like the branches of a tree. To heighten awareness of the form, the sensuous aerodynamic nature of the column is contrasted strongly by the orthogonal form of the powder coated shelves.
