design objectives: The client's design parameters were to create a sculptural table for six that could by leafed to eight with a seamless main section.The solution involved 5/8" steel bars that are drawn out of the ends of table onto which the curved leaves slide. The leaves can be left with a reveal as illustrated or drawn up flush with the main body of the table.
